The Ministry of Education has hosted the 39th High Officials Meeting of the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization (Seameo) to discuss the direction of educational, scientific and cultural development in Southeast Asian nations.\r\n \r\nMinister of Education Gen. Dapong Ratanasuwan on Wednesday presided over the meeting held to develop guidelines on cooperation between Seameo member countries, which include 10 ASEAN member countries and Timor-Leste.\r\n \r\nThailand informed the meeting that it used the late King?\u20ac\u2122s Sufficiency Economy philosophy, knowledge and morality as the foundations for developing the nation. Thailand also vowed to not abandon children and adolescents in remote areas by continuing projects such as the Border Police School project. Thailand will cooperate with the Seameo member countries to urgently develop quality education and provide equal education opportunities for all children.
