Note: “Social Skills for Children with Special Educational Needs” course was successfully conducted with sixty-eight (68) Special Education Officers and Teachers from SEAMEO Member Countries. The aims were to increase the awareness among special education teachers on the importance of social skills to students with special needs; to equip the teachers with the knowledge and skills to help students with special needs acquire basic social behavioural skills and to identify social skills that greatly benefit them; as well as to maximize their potential through the mastery of social skills related to the daily life. The course was conducted through an online platform, from 22nd – 24th June 2021.
